The extended warranty for the electric power steering motor does not include the SS model, as far as I know.
check and inspect the underhood fuse box as it is know to be a source of issues with loose connections, also make sure you reconnected all the ground wires .

Well after double checking I see nothing that would cause the steering issue. I cleaned the power lug off. Replace the fuse. And pulled open the fuse box. Everything looks good.
so I gotta dive deeper.

well so far it's looking like the steering angle sensor was damaged during engine install.
I'm guessing someone turned the steering wheel many times to align the steering shaft with the rack n pinion.
I completely understand the health issues my friend. But greatful to have you here on the site.

So someone above asked about new air filter. Now that I know this car is worth while and worth putting money into I have purchased the cleaner kit.
and man was this thing dirty.

I need a lid and screws for the stock air box. Dose anyone have one they can sell for cheap with the screws? I'm located in michigan.

So Dark Knight the "steering angle sensor" is the clock spring ?
Also just put an AC delco filter in and forget that K&N garbage,
Do a research on air cleaner air flow and you'll know what I,m talking about.
K&N is all hype and nothing more.

Iv been in the performance automotive world for 25 years brother. The K&N issue with filter chargers are do to people over drenching the filter with oil and also due to people putting them right on after applying the oil to heavy. Other than that yeah they dont offer much more flow or filtering I agree there. It's just what I have and the cleaner kit was cheaper being napa had it on sale for $8.
the angle sensor is just under the motor and pump. The clock spring is under the steering wheel. I did notice that 2 tires are at 30psi so this could also be the cause of the code from what in reading.
I'm just slowly going threw a flow chart as a process of elimination.

Not sure where you got this info from but I don't think it's right in regards to your problem.
I've seen 30 psi in my tires countless times. Doesn't affect any sensors or readings. I've even seen them drop as low as 27-28 on very cold mornings. Again, it doesn't set off any codes or CEL's.
