Thankyou at this point I think where better of replacing the hole motor. I'm worried cyl wall is scared up. I'm going to do as my friend has done for others and I'm going to sell my car hauler and a snapon tool box to help him.

Quick update I just posted my stuff and it looks like it may sell. I just might buy him the zzp engine. Pray we get max price for stuff. Thanks guys for the support.

Looks like you've got to the bottom of this mystery. As long as the oil didn't get too low, the turbo should be alright. The turbo is lubricated with the engine oil, and cooled by the coolant.

I don't think it got to bad. I may go used engine and buy new turbo cartridge just for good measures. Also a new timing set on said used motor.

What's a good brand of timing chain setup. What have you guys seen the most durability out of with these ecotecs.
Part numbers would help a lot. Thank again guys.

Hey guys is there any hhr ss engine swap threads you could direct me to. I tried the search function but the one I seen where 2.2l hhr or dealer doing engine swap.
