New IC
Plus you really don't want to uncrimp the aluminum header to remove the tank and then recrimp one on. You will weaken the crimp joint. I suppose you could weld the new tank on though. You might be able to glue on a stiffening rib to help.......
the chemical weld process will degrade the ABS if you try and glue a rib to it.
Several DOD companies, as well as Myth Busters have experimented with spray on bedliner as a anti-fragment/deforming component to armour and bunkers. It apparently adds a great amount of strength to whatever it is applied to, and adds an ability to absorb tremendous ammouts of shock/flex before deforming. This could be a cheap fix.

Check into Williams Chevy here in Elkton. I picked up my SS back in March from them and it already had the GMS1 installed. All service work was completed there since new by the previous owner. And I checked the wiring. They were soldered and heat shrink applied over top, along with the black plastic tubing to protect the wiring.
If you see an Orange SS, it's me.
