Well I started it this morning, it was spooling on its own. Idle was bouncing all over. just sitting there it was bouncing boost from 2 to 3 psi. then once it warmed up it was fine. then going down the road it was backfiring after every shift. no CEL. when i start in 1st gear its very sensitive and will shoot the boost to 5 or 6 psi. Its acting very strange lately. i have almost 42,000 miles now.

 

Thought you cant build boost in idle? Might be a sensor problem or three?

 

Check the vacuum hose to the bypass valve. Both ends.
