Unreliability did me in
I love the lnf motor the windnoise, cheap built interior and horrible value ruin it for me
I recently did a tear down of a new genesis sedan, no cheap parts well designed etc. No cheap clips, uses same mounts as benz and same felt tape on wires etc. I only did 25 to 30 percent sound damp coverage and his car is more solid than my hhr with 80percent coverage....even with his v8 exhaust roar lol. Made me kinda miss old days of being car audio installer
I just wanna test drive an ST before i say all fwd suck lol
Since I posted this message in June, the car has been in for warranty work on the engine twice more.
An issue with a part not holding vacuum... (forget exactly what it was) and yesterday my wastegate solenoid went again. It is back in the shop awaiting parts. I've had the wastegate issue once already.
What a terribly unreliable car...

The 100K dump
I'm enjoying my non-turbo 2LT, deliberately purchased with limited performance in favor of simplicity and hopefully fewer parts to fail. I observed before that the turbo seems to drop in value when it hits 100K and the power train warranty vanishes. I wish they were more consistently reliable, and wonder if the proliferation of turbo engines in GM's current fleet means that they are improving the reliability now.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. You must be on a first name basis with the dealership by now. Are you planning on getting a different car? It seems like some people have hardly any problems, and then some people get twice their fair share of problems. I guess there's always going to be some bad apples in every bunch. It can happen to any car manufacturer, too. You just have to hope you don't get stuck with one of them.

I test drove some vehicles on the weekend. I will be driving around in something different very soon. Probably something small and Japanese! I almost feel guilty foisting this car on someone else....
I will never purchase another Chevy product ever again.
The truth is you can get one of these no matter what the make is. Also there are many hidden cost on some of the new models too.
I just ran into guy with a Hyundai with timing belt issues. Guess what it calls for a $500 belt change at 60,000 miles. If the belt breaks it takes the engine with it and his did. Guess what is not covered under warranty.
I see the same issues with Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford and done even ask about Chrysler.
I feel for you but you just happen to get the exception vs the rule.
For what it's worth my buddy makes a fortune off the Hondas that no one thinks break down. The owners are not happy as they are very expensive to fix and often not worth the investment.
