Unreliability did me in
The fact is out of all the SS here only a hand full have had issues.
The bottom line is people don't ***** if all is fine so you never hear from the majority.
Most of the issues too are never solved due to poor dealers not knowing what they are doing. I see so many not getting things fixed and they keep going back to the same dealer?
The funny thing is yes I do say this to people here but often it is to the same people over and over.

SS problems
A lot of problems reported by SS owners are with components unique to the SS. Problems reported on HHRs in general, examples being front suspension or sunroof, presumably happen about as frequently to the SS, but we don't hear about them in the forums. In other words, SS-specific components specifically related to the turbo or high pressure fuel system seem to fail frequently. I'm not seeing problems reported with other SS stock differences such as the Saab 5-speed transmission or rear disk brakes.
The SS is no longer my problem. I hope it works out for the next owner, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I now own a 2007 mx-5 Miata with low kilometers! What a fun car. I miss the raw performance, but I won't miss seeing the dealer for repairs every few weeks.
This forum has been really great. Lots of good information here and some interesting posters!

Mine is a upgrade and the kit was never an issue. The only issue I had was when they replaced my IC after I got run off the road they mounted it back a little farther than the factory did. At the time I was not tunning the upgrade and it did not matter. Later when the new map when it hit the AC. But they moved the IC at no charge and it has been amazing since.
My question is how many upgrades had issues that were due to poor or improper installation. Any that had connector issues were poorly installed.
