Rim re-paint procedure
I don't expect it to last FOREVER. But I want it to last for a bit. I am going to paint them when it hits 50ish out here for good, or warmer. And run them for a year. I have no problem with repainting every year.
THE BATMAN, tis an honor to have you comment on my thread. Big fan of yours. I'd like to know though, if painting to match Stiglitz would be a good idea or not. Black Granite Metallic.

I painted my fathers steel wheels to match the body color two years ago still looks good. I got the paint from here.http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ Its a base paint with a clear coat like factory paint. I painted the wheels without removing the tires from the rims just taped up to the outer lip of the rim because the hub cap covers the rest of the wheel. all I did is use a scuff pad and scuffed the rims wiped the rim with brake clean and painted with spray can per directions. seems to be holding well so far. dads getting up there in years and don't travel as much as he use to.
Why? It is personal preference obviously, but I think the metallic wheels will look "dirty" all the time. Solid Black with the appropriate chrome trim, (lugnuts, caps, and trim ring) would look cleaner and more tastefully done IMO
You are also planning, (or you were at one point) color matched grill and back beauty bar. So where's the chrome? If you want to color match and black out at the same time, loose the chrome trim rings.....
