Got some G-max tires today they will look good on the Solstice wheels . So while all the spacer experts are assembled give me a recomendation which ones to buy, front only Capp02 ? BTW your panel looks bit chin, have you entered it in the little monthly HHR feature, looks done unless your SCing it.

I'd go with a set of 4 spacers like you mentioned in your PM Sam, ones with replacement studs of the correct length are the best way to go when thinking about spacers. And having all four wheels spaced out will retain the same approximate front and rear track so you won't pick up any odd little handling quirks.

In the days of yore I owned a 1969 Mustang with the 428 Super Cobra jet engine, functional ram air, 4 on the floor and holes bored for more as we used to say.

It was a scary fast thing just being stock but that didn’t stop the 19 year old me from trying to make it go faster.

I put headers on it several different larger carburetors and all manner of other doohickeys and thingamabobs on it trying to eek that last bit of speed out of it. Including those tiny bottles of N0S that were available at the time. They look a lot like the C02 tanks what you might buy for your paint ball gun these days.

One thing I bought was a pair of N-50 racing slick tires and deep dish polished aluminum wheels to bolt on.

Needless to say I needed spacers and they still just were not right. The spacers made it so the inside of the tire did not contact the frame or most of the wheel well but there were other problems.

I jacked the shackles up as far as they would go and put the tires and wheels on, the fender still nearly touched the top of the tire.

I burbled around town a bit then took them off and sold them. Never even tried to race with them on. I figured the first time I torqued the axle a bit the body would bite into the tire or the silly extended lug nuts would just snap and I’d be out a car.

I have to admit tho,… they, really made the car look like it was goin’ fast sitin’ still,…

Thats because most people space out rims but ignore stud length and if you do not have enough threads, it can back out and the average American does not do periodic matience, very common in the performance side of cars.

I'm probably a below average American but, I do wash it once a week, if it needs it or not, and change the oil, and grease the zerts every 4500 miles.

I ran 7mm thick spacers on all 4 corners on my 2LT when I had my Solstice wheels on it, but also bought a set of extended tip lug nuts to make sure I had good thread seat. Never had any trouble with them, even ran over 100mph on a GM test track at an open house they had.

For added safety get a set that are hub-centric or you can get centric rings at most tire and wheel stores. I run them on my HHR PANEL and WILLYS PANEL and never had any problems.

SSfan you can check out my panels in my gallery. Pictures were taken about three years ago and I changed wheels this winter. 17.5 x17 DxR WITH 235X45X17's on the HHR and 15x8 CRAGAR SS with 275x15 on rear and 15x6 with 215x65 on front of 49 WILLYS. Will post pictures when snow leaves and wheels are mounted.
