I truly believe winter driving is much more dependent on driver skill than tire tread. A crummy driver with awesome tires is probably worse off than a awesome driver with crummy tires. I made it through this horrendous winter we had on maybe 25% tread on the Michelin MXM4 Primacy that were on my SS when I bought it. I drive 30 miles one way to work 5-6 days a week. The tires honestly struggle to hold even dry pavement as they sit. Anything is an improvement at this point. lol. I've decided on the Gmax's, just debating between 235/45 or 245/40 at this point. Leaning more towards 235/45 for a bit more sidewall since the roads are horrendous here.

I honestly love the bigger sidewall :) I find these also grip great... which is nice for how I drive at times...lol

Finally had the time today to get these installed. Went with 235/45 due to the crummy roads in MI. I have a slight bit of rubbing on the drivers side during moderate/ heavy cornering. I'm debating picking up some 5mm wheel spacers and see if pushing the wheels out a bit cures that. These things are worlds different than my old tires in both ride quality and sheer grip. No complaints from me.

I have them as well in the stock size. MUCH better in snow than the stock Michelins and I just hit the brakes hard today in the rain to avoid a raccoon. Would have slid in my other tires. Only had them since November (3xxx miles) but so far they feel great.
