As long as it uses a valve stem that has the screw threads on the inside I don't know why it wouldn't work. The radio waves go through rubber. And I believe Oldblue uses those and maybe for sale.

IIRC, you need 7 inch wide wheels. My memory might be bad.

I have no idea what could possibly make them not compatible with this type of TPMS. Maybe the older type that mounted on the rim.

Could be the difference from steel rim to aluminum rims.

tires are always rubber. Steel is "standard". Old TPMS needed a lug on the rim to mount them on.

I recently acquired a set of 17" factory alloy wheels. The TPMS are missing and in looking there are two types, one has themetal stem that is put on with a metal sleeve/lock, and the other is the pull through rubber type. My question is will either type work or do I have use a specific one.
Thanks
Ron

The metal stems will work in steel rims, not recommended though. The parts books insist that ALL HHRs use the metal stems, so there are a lot out there..

TPMS Part Number Help

2009 HHR 2.4L auto with the polished rims.
Had one sensor reading as bad. So, I bought 4 of these off of ebay.

Condition: New Brand: Autoliamyard
Quantity: 4 pcs
Manufacturer Part Number: 25920615,20923680,13586335,15254101,25952370
Warranty: Yes
Interchange Part Number: 15254101,25952370,22853741,13581558, 15922396,15123145

After swapping them in, the dash will not register when going through the learn process. I tried multiple TPMS tools, and the SNAP ON TPMS recognizes the sensors are in the car, and reads their ID. But the car does not recognize the sensors are there. I even tried while at the tire shop to see if the old sensors would register during the learn procedure, and they did. But the new ones will not register with the car. (essentially, you go into the learn procedure, and it never notifies you to move to the next tire until it times out) The tire guy said that I have the wrong kind of sensor.

Does anyone know the accurate part number for the car for the sensor? I was under the impression that 13586335 was the correct one.
I can't return the ones in the car until the correct ones are in place. (Seeing that I now have to do this again)

If the Snap on tool can read the numbers it is supposed to be able to insert them into the correct slots.

The OEM one in my hand at the moment is 25920615 It came off an HHR in the junkyard. For rubber stem. Mitchell say the number is 22853741

Which stem came on your wheels?
