I just tried test fitting 245/45/18 on my SS and they are too tall They cleared the front strut spring pocket by an 1/8''th of an inch. But when back on the ground ,so i went with the 245/40/18 Generals

Anyone know if 245 35 18 will fit without rubbing in the front? im thinking about buying that size.

I know 245 45 18's are fine for the back (that's what im running now) but they rub in the front.

I run 245/40-18's on 18x8's front and back, I'm also stock height. I haven't rubbed yet not even over a speed bump.

Let me know how those Hankooks hold up, I've been eyeing those myself.

If you go to the generals website the General Exclaim UHP in 245/40-18 weigh
3lbs lighter each then stock. By the way Continental makes General tires, so i think they use the same technology as they do in there new series of tires, which are light also.

Gotta take tirerack specs with a grain of salt, they are right for the most part but they don't even list the general Exclaim UHP as a M/S tire, which its clearly molded on the sidewall on all 4 my tires.

Same, that was my other choice over the General Exclaim UHP's.

No fit problems or rubbing with my Hankook's. I read the Car & Driver tire test along with the tire test by the German mag Auto Bild Sportscars (English Edition). Both of them rave about the Hankook Ventus V12. So far there is no comparison with the stock Michelins. I do have the 245/40-18, they are only .6" wider (.3" to each side). It is hard to beleive that the stock Michelins are a bestseller at Tire Rack. They have a very poor rating in their comparison area.

You wouldn't happen to have any installed pics of the Hankooks would you?? And from what I understand, you have them on the stock SS rims right?

Thanks
