I really don't think they're bad in snow either; at least no worse than other performance A/S tires I've used. This winter we've had plenty snow and ice, and I've never felt out of control.

Installed they handle really well, and I can still spin the tires all the way through 3rd...245/40/18's installed

I've heard this too but have not been able to actually listen to these. Can you explain this further as I'm one click away from buying a set and Nitto doesn't have the size I want.

I agree unless I'm trying to get the charger up my driveway...can't take a run at it either, it's a right turn off the road to the driveway. Doesn't look like much, but it's a pretty good slope and the charger doesn't like it.

did that require a lot of modding? I am wondering if a 245/45/18 will work on the HHR?

fierce instinct tires...i just threw some on the saab....i work at goodyear and we put these fierce instincts on many many cars...they have a 400 rating which is awesome and you can find them at around 100 bucks a piece online for a 235 40 18...maybe slightly cheaper...its a great tire to look into

This FTW just had some put on today, went through one hell of a storm on RT 40 east of Columbus, Oh. Road ponds like a SOB with even the slightest shower, it just stupid down poured and I did not have any hydroplaning whatsoever , the stockers would have been all over the place.

Several tires in the 245/40-18 size are actually lighter. Surprised me. I went with the Hankook Ventus v12 evo's. 1.0 lb. lighter than the stock Michelins.
