To Torque Thrust or not Torque Thrust
I've have stock 17" wheels that leaks and the shop can't seem to get them stopped, so I've been looking around for new wheels, and come across conflicting info on the availability of American Torque Thrust wheels for an HHR. I even sent an email to American, but have not received a reply.
So what do you guys say, does any body know for sure.

I checked with Discount Tire and they called American, and they confirmed that they have a model that fits, but they are out of stock. I read somewhere that the Dodge Dart takes the same wheel, so maybe there is more demand for them???
They are a good looking wheel for the price

For leaking RIMS
You wrote "I've have stock 17" wheels that leaks and the shop can't seem to get them stopped..." Not knowing where the location is and how many RIMs are leaking... I have done this repair... When the leak is in the outer RIM area you locate the area INSIDE the RIM and use EPOXY on that area, keep it thin when applying or sand it down so you don't make an unbalance problem. If the problem is not sealing between the rim and wheel bead use sealant made for this problem... best I've seen was used on South Main Auto web site, look for the web show on how he repairs a Flat. Go to youtube.com and look for South Main Auto Repair, the guy's name is Eric O., this guy uses lots of products and tools I really like and I pick up tips from him too. Looking at his videos I can only thank my Father I never had to live in the deep snow belts up NORTH and have the problems they have there... RUST never sleeps and you see what happens then. Just look at this show
on how to repair gas lines... never seen, never heard of this problem down South. Watching his show on how he fixes a flat is sure detailed and make a very good job. Hope this helps as maybe you can save the wheels and use the bucks for something else.
