Most of the HHR LS came out with stock 15" steel wheels. I have a set with Firestone Winterforce tires on them, great tire I found and close to a exact match for my 16" that my HHR came with.
Check out my review.

So I found some 15" rims locally but the ad says "Fits P195/65R15 tires and similar." My winter tires are 205/65/15. These rims should fit these tires right? Please give me good news, I have been searching for inexpensive rims for awhile now.

You might be able to find some cheap steel rims at a junk yard or scrap yard in Edmonton. There are usually a lot of recent model year Cobalts sent to the scrappers and the rims from those vehicles should be easy to find.

My car is an '07 LT and I do have 15" steel rims that I bought to put on my car. I think it depends if it is an SS model.

So, now that I have the 15" rims, I did read somewhere that changing tire sizes makes a difference in your speedometer. Just for my info, going to a smaller tire size (16" to 15") does that increase your speed or decrease it? So if your speedo is reading 60 km are you really going, say 65 km?

It is not the wheel size but the tire diameter.

I run 18" wheels in the summer and 16" in the winter but the outside diameter of my tires are nearly identical. Note the side walls are taller.

If the outside diameter is less than the stock tires the speed will be more on the sped than it really is. If the tires have more diameter it will slow the speedo down.

Odds are you will vary 3-7 MPH just guessing based on most changes and speedo error. Note most are off 1-3 MPH anyway.

i went from the stock SS tires, to stock 16" tires for the winter.
speedometer is off by 2 miles per hour, doing 60 on the speedo is actually 62
