The SS has a definite presence about it, at least they didn’t add on the hideous paint stripes of the Chevelle SS of the late ‘60’s

This end out in front of the firewall below the brake booster , this U joint was loose and the sliding shaft was ceased.
I suggest replacing the shaft. RockAuto has them listed for the LS/ LT models, don’t forget our discount code.

The SS shafts are very different and are obsolete, no longer available.

Here’s a view of the inside part of the stopper, the bumps might be causing a bump bump from the larger metal piece bolted to the door

This is the MAF sensor connector, you don’t need to disconnect the air filter box, just check the connection, is it plugged in firmly?

You can use a pry bar or large screw driver to hold the pulley when you are ready to remove the bolt , afterwards the pulley just slides off the crankshaft snout.

This weekend it’s time to change the clocks back an hour!!
And change the batteries in your smoke detectors
I also change the batteries in my TV remote control and take my HHR to get the charging system and battery tested , better that then it won’t start on a cold winter’s day,or night!!
