What if you have the Stage Kit and runs at 24-26 PSI now? Are you taking about those without any tune upgrade? Im interested in the 2860 series.

Its comes with hardware to make everything bolt on and space out right. You will use all you existing oil/water lines, some may need to be tweaked to fit. Cost $1200 with core

Accessories you get with K04-GT2871
New banjo bolt for oil inlet
Custom made spacer with 2 gaskets (manifold to turbo spacer)
Spacer for oil outlet tube with 2 gaskets, studs and nuts
Crush washers

The turbo that is in between the stock K04 and K04-GT2871 is the
K04-GT2860. Its is a true bolt on and uses our turbo both sides and machined to fit a GT2860 cartridge and wheels inside of it. All of your stock stuff will bolt right up, no BOV needed. Cost $950 with core

Re-tune is required with both K04-GT upgrades. Trifecta only charges a $75 re-tune fee if you already have a Trifecta tune since this is considered a major upgrade.

Link to BNR info for K04 upgrades, top part of page.

Put the K04-GT2871 on today, went as smooth as butter.

Some minor line adjustments, but everything bolted right up.

I do have my UICP's on, but they are not bolted down as they need to come back off for intercooler swap and BoV. I also have my air cleaner tube bolted onto the compressor housing. (I didn't take any pictures)

Only thing I have left to do is switch out my factory intercooler back to my Crazy Steve intercooler and have my BoV flange welded to my UICP.

Then the tuning starts

Very nice. You aren't changing to a MBC are you? And you're getting a hpt/trifecta tune from BYT?

HHRSSouth: What kind of boost pressure are you going to run? And are you running your boost through the stock size piping, from turbo to intake? "Moon"

24 psi,

I'm using Dejon 3 pc hot side intercooler pipes (I'm welding a BoV flange on), stock air box w/ KN, stock cold side intercooler pipe.

I'd be afraid to use the stock hot side piping, I've seen pictures of people that have blown them out on the K04.

Be carefull with the IC as it tends to sit crooked. I had to do some modifying to it to make it sit straight. One side wanted to sit against the condenser. The Dejon piping fits like a glove. I just might be looking into this turbo

I already had the CSI on before, took it off last fall and stuck my stocker back on. (waste of time )
So I have the intercooler already tweaked to fit.

Well got the UICP today from the welder with the Tial Q Bov welded on. The HHR SS should be back together tommorow and hopefully start the fun of tuning, logging and sending/recieving emails with updates.

I'm subscribed to this. I'm looking forward to seeing some real world numbers come out. BTW remind me, is your SS a manual, or auto? Either way I'm excited to see the outcome.

Later
