Thank you I will check that sensor tomorrow. Or have the mechanic check it.

These are the ones I installed.
So. Do you have the GM Stage 1 upgrade tune (GMTU) or some other aftermarket tune ?

If you installed it it is highly unlikely that you got a copy of the upgrade instructions. You are supposed to cut the registration tab off and install the TMAP backwards.

I went to a aftermarket company called. ZZPerformance.com for the tune. I only found a few places on the web that has parts and works on the LNF. No shops near me does any mods to the HHR.

Thanks. I noticed that the top sensor doesn't line up correctly either to the intake manifold bolt hole. You kinda have to make the senor hole wider to screw it in.

I don't think the tab needs to be removed for a backwards install. Mine would not install backwards, as it would run into the fan housing. Trimming the tab is for a normal install, and shimming of the intercooler.

ZZP did not give me installation instructions

Did the Tmap sensor go bad by itself in a year ? Doubtful. But. If you have a turbo that is failing or failed, it may have dumped oil into the charge pipe and fouled that sensor.
I would pull that lower sensor and check for any oil on it.
Just replacing the sensor won't do you any good if the turbo is puking oil.

However, the presence of oil in the charge piping is not conclusive evidence that the turbo is bad. The PCV system can dump oil into the turbo.

ok I will check and see if there is any oil coming out from the lower charge pipe. Does that mean my inner cooler has oil in it too?
