If you want, line the inside of the stock box with thin gauge sheet metal of your choice.
Pop rivet from the outside or use a quality glue.
It will make a thermal barrier to block engine heat.
Your intake manifold air temp sender might see it as cooler and richen the fuel mixture.
Insulating the pipe going to the turbo would help also.

 

Im talking about the washer fluid jug. It isnt in the oem position. Did he relocate it elsewhere?

A lotta hot air, about cold air intakes, most did ingest underhood hot air. Or drew air from the same woolly worm port ,so not really a cold air system
