The stock system uses a recirculating valve that activates when the throttle closes suddenly to eliminate shock pulses and surging and also to keep the turbo spinning. The stock system also includes a blow off valve that dumps into the exhaust system. Regardless of any other mods, these are designed to work with the stock turbo and an add on BOV might cause problems, and even if not, would certainly not be of any benefit.

Thank you very much gentlemen for all the responses!! I've the Hahn intercooler and piping in the garage waiting to be installed, so I'll forego the aftermarket BOV and just get the Dejon spring.

Care to elaborate? Forget it why? Is it a waste on a stock SS? What about an SS w/ the GM upgrade and future plans for a Trifecta Tune?????? Have you tried it yourself and found it does nothing?

If you're talking about a BOV spring, yes it's a waste. It's the same as changing BOV's, only less expensive. A BOV only needs to be upgraded when the turbo has been significantly enlarged, and it can no longer vent the volume of air it needs to on decel. Upping the blow off point with a spring can only increase the likelyhood of inducing compressor-damaging surge while offering no improvement in performance. If the stock spring is defective, and has become wea, and is blowing off before it's supposed to, that's one thing. But replacing something that's working as designed is a waste.
