Question? How big a basket you gonna put under the eng/trans to catch all the parts? Unless you beef up the trans-drivetrain, pistons ect, stuff is bound to start flying. stock parts [I figure around 350 rwh]will only take so much before they come apart. In years past, been here-done that. Better throw your wallet up against the wall, and stick your head between your legs, because it may not be pretty. I spent a ton of money before, going after the high H.P. and ending up with a fair pile of broken parts.
It will be curious to follow this brain fart. "Moon"

If the tune trigger is set to the t/c button it will be in custom tune mode if you hold it for 10 seconds to go to ESC OFF mode. The tune is active in EITHER COMPETITION MODE or ESC OFF mode.

Just reading the posts here I only see 315 whp (front) so I do believe a clutch is inorder but for the rest, unless you just flat beat it up should be fine, besides if your going to play you will have to pay.

And....is there any other means of control other then Cruz control and T/C ?
Maybe something on/with the DIC? CC would be risky with dealer servicing....I guess the TC swt would be fine....
Too bad you can't do like Jet did and have a keyed switch that can lock in or out whatever tune in use....

I was wondering how long it would be before the NEXT negative HATER comment came down the pike and here it is.

And my response to that is: I am very fortunate to be able afford my "brain farts" along with all the consequences with NO PROBLEM. I am willing and able to pay to play with no fear! Thank you very much.

For All the guys that can't handle or aren't ready to take the heat, YOU should follow in Moons steps and stay out of the kitchen and stop wishing the worst on others that are living their lives as they wish. The end.

Now back to the topic at hand, THANKS TRIFECTA YOU'Z GUYZ ARE THE BEST.

Woha Hoss! I was"nt trying to be negative here, and I think you took my point out of context. Number 1, I'm not some kid ,trying to impress anyone with how much sand I got. I'm 68 yrs old, and I had some pretty swift rides, and still do, but I know the limits on how far you can push it, a little better now. Having turboed a 75 Datsun P.U. in 75[when only a few people even turboed street cars], I can tell you first hand, that around 30 lbs. of boost, Will wipe out the piston ring lands, hole the pistons, and cow shat the tranny.
I do get a little rough on my replies to posts at times, but thats me[and will not change]. People will just have to deal with it, or not read.
I guess I hit a little ego nerve, trying to explain, the ills of pushing things to far, in my reply. I hope you don't blow things up, but seems like you are well healed enough that you can afford it, so go for it.
Guess I'll have to be a little more tender, if I reply to any of your posts.
No hard feelings here. I'll try to contain myself a little better[but don't count on it].

LOL, thanks for the tenderness and let's try not to junk up the thread with negativity. I'm sure that everyone understands that everything has it's limits, but if you have ever talked to Vince@Trifecta or Dave at Dejon you will find that they own vehicles with our engines and that they have pushed them hard as they test the safety of the products they sell us. Now that is not to say that something will not happen to an engine or that other parts will not fail, but I'm sure that they do their best to protect our rides so that in turn it will protect their reputation and business.

With that said, I'm sure if you were selling hot dogs for a living you wouldn't want someone telling all the customers that came up to you cart "YOU'RE GONNA DIE IF YOU EAT THAT," so I don't think that you should do that here.

The shop that did my dyno was very impressed with Trifecta and what they can do with their tuning and they also impressed with the quality of the Dejon kit. This is no small time shop, they have built some crazy high HP turboed cars that have been and some that will soon be featured in magazines so that says a lot these guys.

I hear you. I also have the Trifeca tune[24 lbs boost-firmer shifting] and I'm around 300 H.P. [according to the butt dyno], and I'm loving it.
I've had four modded, high H.P. cars in the past[couple wicked quick], and the SS always seems to impress me, especially for the size of the motor.
Hope you build comes out O.K., I was just stirring the pot a bit, with some of my comments[I do that from time to time].
Thing to watch out for, when you put more boost to her, are the ring lands.
thats the first weak link in the engine. More boost is more pressure, and lots more heat, on cast pistons, and so times problems don't show up for anwhile.
I'm sure Vince has flogged his setup, but not long term, so it's not 100 per cent, at this point.
Hey, my SS only has 3800 miles on her, and I took the chance with Vince and his tune. so far so good. I tried to keep the boost level in the safe zone.
Keep us posted on you build. I love guys that think out and do, out of the box[used to do that myself, but being older now, little more careful].

I too enjoy my ride and it has 25000 mi. I've had the Trifecta tune for the past 6000 mi hitting it hard daily and I have yet to encounter any mechanical issues other than clutch slippage so I did a clutch and flywheel upgrade, but that was more because I wanted it. With the stock clutch I noticed that if you allow the car to get up to temp. I didn’t feel any slip, but it would slip if not warmed up. The only other issue I'm currently having is hurting folk’s feelings and sending them home crying as I spank the crap out of them with my little wagon. LOL, this thing is a blast and an addiction.
