Trifecta Tuning Discussion 2.0 SS
BUMP!
That would suck, you put the car on the dyno and hold the TC for 10 sec hoping to get it to turn off, and whamo no tune!
'nuther ? if the tune is run through the TC button, but you go the other route to dyno and pull the fuses, what happens to the tune then?

On page 2 of this thread they talk about having the turn on and off button being your cruise control button. Then you can run it with traction control on, off, or esc off and it wont be complicated. Plus you'll have it right on your steering wheel.

^^ excellent point foolmoon!!! THAT'S what my fear is with the GM factory tune. It seems to only be "on" in Competitive Mode; so if I dyno it again and have to hold the TC button for 10 seconds to disable everything, where's my tune
????? If I get Trifecta-tuned on top of the GM factory tune I have, how will I see the FULL potential of both tunes at once if I want to dyno the SS and see what gains I've made? I'm in NO way griping, but I'd rather be informed now before I make a purchase and wind up dissapointed or expecting something else. (end thread semi-jack)

I am not sure about the GM tune, but you have a choice of using the TC or the cruse button to turn the Trifecta tune on or off, Most have chosen the Cruse button.
As far as the question of holding the button for 10 sec, we need to wait for Vine to return next week for that answer. He is still on vacation. But I will send him the question.
And the one on TPMS but that could most likely be a safety liability for more than my insurance would cover.

Tom, I'm sure Vince is bored now....we should invite him back to work sooner...lol
As for the TPMS, not sure if this works on GM cars. I had the ones on my old Titan taken out when I did a/m wheels. The light stayed on for about 500 miles then turned off. The Nissan tech told it was because the system dissabled it self when it couldn't find the sensors. The only reason I had them pulled is because I had a flat tire every morning for 1 week. The tire guys blame the factory, the dealer blames the tire guys....ect
So, is Vince back yet? Btw...is the cable an OBD to usb cable? Thanks, can't wait !!!!!
