^ Agreed, I'm still amazed that my SS can spin the tires at 75-80 mph if I drop the hammer on the highway. Feeling the front end fishtail at those speeds is still a new concept for me.

Asanti: Maybe some video on ,spinning the tries at 75 or 80 mph and fishtailing too. I'd really like to see that up close.
Don't make me raise the B.S. flag on this one. "Moon"

I have had the front tires spin at 50 MPH accelerating on to a somewhat smooth freeway. It did not fish tail but it did rev up and then the traction control light came on. Mine is also a auto so a 5 speed could do a little more.

A smooth or damp surface I can see it happening at high boost.

I know anyone on any surface with the Upgrade can't light them up at 30-35 MPH with no issue. So if conditrions are right some crazy things can happen. Remember the front of a FWD also unloads under acceleration so it would make losing traction easier in some cases.

Besides the OE tires spin easy anyway. THey are not the best grip around.

I can easily spin mine up to just over 50mph with Trifecta tune, but 75-80 is a strech unless it's pouring down rain, no matter what the tune ect. Too tall a gear for that kinda speed to blow the tires at that speed. Sorry, I can't hang with that. Maybe 60 tops. "Moon"

Not really. Just been looking for a excuse to raise it, and this looked like a good time. Guess I'm being a boy ***** today. "Moon"

(Sighs) Moon you damn pot stirrer! No BS flag to raise here as I don't have a need to lie about my SS or myself. A little clarification then: I can duplicate this phenomenon on an on ramp where Rt. 8N merges with I84E in CT. It's called the "mixmaster" due to the ramp literally throwing you into the right lane (read LOTS of crashes there). So coming off the ramp at say 55-60mph I have 90% of the time no choice but to floor it in order not to get flattened by semis, teens on their cells, ancient ones not paying attention, etc etc. I've had the tires spin as the boost kicks in and definitely have had the front end "move around" as the tires fight for traction. By the time the front tires hook (YES stock crappy tires ) and the tranny shifts I'm usually doing 90+ and have been as high as 110mph before I let off. It's always a hairy on ramp so it's typical to need to get on it as you merge w/ traffic there. Hell anyone local to me is welcome to get in touch with me and I'll take them for a ride to prove it.

O.K. then a little off camber to help the program out. I thought you meant that on a flat road, with plenty of grip, that a 75 or 80 you could nail it and blow the tires.
yeah, sometimes I love to stir the pot a little to keep things intresting or to get a response out of someone.
