First off wasn't being a dick but now I'll gladly be one

1) not I powder coat but one of largest in USA , I was expressing how a powder coat does not make something superior to a injection molded piece

2) heat soak is an issue for these cars period. Intercooler helps a lot but still concern. So thoughts to heat shield are large concern
Dejon and cai both junk period

3) congrats on the intake tube, know piece you replaced I did same it flattens like pancake. No shock in your gain. No magic smoke there

Plain and simple I trust zip to be honest. I know they are legit. So unless it highly outperforms the factory design then it shouldn't cost more than kn unit

FYI I use zzp products but I'm not fanboy I always go for what is proven

If they want $300+ I want see value equal it
Otherwise illnstick to lnf tube mod and filter for gains

I really don't see how this could cost much over $200. I could fab this up for less than $150 not including powdercoat.

Add in powdercoat and markup and this should be between $200-$250 max.

Congratulations you can powdercoat! Many on here do not have that luxury, beyond that I was comparing to a molded plastic piece utilizing an existing OEM part, not questioning your ability nor how something caters to you.

You can be a douche all you want, but I don't base my posts off of bias opinions nor do I build my cars off of bull****, I promise that.
oh the intake actually goes from the turbo? most intakes just come from the top of the intake tube? do you really think this intake is better than the other ones out there?

yes, it comes right off the turbo with our upgraded LNF intake tube (modified for HHR or course) then drops the filter in behind the headlight :) replacing 100% of the factory air intake system.

we will also have a heat shield available seperately at some point.

this is an actual LEGIT intake for the HHR SS. i can't believe how some can really hate on this design when it's the best aftermarket intake available and it JUST hit the market. it completely replaces the stock intake setup and doesn't sit on top of the engine. yes a heat shield would be nice but that's nothing some cut up soda cans & duct tape can't fix.

$280 is a GREAT price for this.

ZZP ftw as usual.

Just ordered!

Just put in my order! I just installed ZZP's hot side intercooler pipe and was very happy with the fitment and quality of the piece. Can't wait to get this part and install it.
