Would removing the tube and applying a big hammer do the job?

If you mean self clearance the runner on the header I probably could do that. Buuutt I don't really want to ruin my shiny new header.. I was just looking at it and mine also has the tab. So im going to wrap it with that performance fiber wrap stuff. Like I said ill keep everyone updated if something bad happens.. 😆 I appreciate everybodys input.

If you have a dremel, or something like, you could probably enlarge the top of the slot, so the tab could move a little more.

You could also get a ceramic coating on the header. Reduce heat output, and keep it pretty for longer.

I meant take a BFH to the transfer tube. IIRC there is a flat spot already.

I didn't see a flat spot. I would be worried about damaging the seals.

You can get a dremel, or Roto-zip, or some other multi-tool at Harbor Freight for cheap. It's just a thin rib of aluminum.

Have someone help you get the hood off, and crawl over the passenger fender. If you can get in a position to do it, I would think it would be about a 1 minute job.

No mention of any of the dremel surgery in the thread you posted RJ.
I suggest you simply follow the small adjustment and then see if more drastic measures are required.
