Lexus, and most everyone else advertise how quiet their cars are as a sign of quality. Most customers do not want to hear the intake or exhaust on their cars so the factories really stop them up to make them quiet.
I do think the factory HHR intake is not too bad all things considered but the exhaust is pitiful. I like my Airiad intake better than factory but there really is nothing wrong with the factory one.
Even I do not want an exhaust so loud it interferes with my radio or conversation but I do want to open it up some and let it breathe. Giving it better performance and mileage.
We can make changes that make the car better fit our personal needs.
