Got any wrecking yards in your area ? I'm sure there's got to be a few Ecotec
"junker" engines that you could salvage that part from.
A nice offer of $20 will probably get one of the employees to pull the part for you.

FYI that bracket is only available on a brand new balance shaft but the used set I ordered online worked great! Car is back together and running great!! Thanks for all the help.

Well this sucks, I spent all day and last night changing the timing and balance shaft chains, a fresh oil and filter and this morning , I took off for a cup of coffee and the CEL came on , low and behold the P0016 code? I guess I'm off to the dealership for a relearn!

Well the dealership was nice about it, explained that a relearn is not necessarily the cure, he tried a relearn, the scan tech II tool came back with the intake cam and the crankshft are out of position.
Seeing as I just replaced the timing chain he suggested it's out a tooth.
Well I'm home now letting it cool off and I'll open the 2.2 back up and see what gives!

That would be p0315 for a relearn.

Ah, right , I've got to remember my memory is failing fast!
Well I torn it down again and the crank was off a tooth, the GM guy said it's common the chain drops abit while you wrestle the exhaust gear into position, well that's fixed, and for my next trick, I ordered a pair of 2016 Camaro SS horns , Sweetie will be bringing them back with her from her visit with her Aunt Karen.

Glad you got it straightened out Steve.
Don't you just hate it though when you have one of those moments.
Happens to the best of us.
