SmootHHR, I agree, just because you can do it doesn't mean it is a prudent use of resources. I think the HHR is a cool looking, versatile, good driving economy car.....spunky too. However, if someone was going to spend big on an engine, you'd have....well....and expensive HHR with a fast engine. If I had that kind of money, then gas money probably wouldn't be a big deal either. In that case, insert a Mustang GT, Camaro SS, or a Hemi Challenger. Those toys have power. :-) And a used one wouldn't be that much more than a new HHR. Just thinking..... God Bless, Marc

How about a Toyota Cressida with a Supra Turbo motor?? Any takers? Gimmie something odd...Maxima with a supercharger, Volvo R wagon. Seen and driven too many average v8 pony cars. Not to mention it has to be "family" friendly :)

I've got a buddy with a late 80's sentra with a TT SR20 under the hood

Now I certainly wouldn't call a chopped Merc "average". That'd be my Dairy Queen kHHRuzer! one of my buddies has a 57 BelAir with a 327 and a 4spd...I'd drive something like that everyday if I could but it's not too carseat friendly
