Not trying to dispute any one problem here, but what does everyone have for a tranny? Is this a 5 - speed issue, a automatic issue, or does it not matter it is a issue across the board?

It`s been over a month now and no problems, you can be sure that if the light comes back on now it will back to the dealer in a flash!

Mine is an auto. So, HHRyup, this would clearly indicate that for your case it was the K&N intake. I hope I dont have to return to stock-I got rid of mine

Just wanted to mention that I received a complete refund from my speed shop for my Cold Air Intake, and I want to also say a Big Thank You to the people at K&N mainly Arleen Pruitt for their class and understanding. They sell quality products and back them up.It`s just too bad that my intake caused problems.I know that they are working on the problem.I have been using K&N products for years and I will continue to use them in the future.

I do know that GM revised the LE5/E67 Operating System Calibration in regards to the P0106 MAP issue. Never saw the details, but would think it has to do with tolerance range before a DTC is triggered. A knowledgeable dealer tech should be able to take care of this with a ECM flash to the new OS Calibration. There may be a TSB on this.

Neither should be related to any intake, but there seems to be some mysterious link though.
Went to the chevy dealer for another problem and they updated the software the P0106 and traction control issue is all gone. Funny how they figured it wasn't my aftermarket cgs intake and seen the tsb after my warranty is up. But they do good work on my car and was half way decent proce to fix all of the issues.

My guess is the less restriction of the intake pushes the reading to the outer limits of the range. I am noticing with my problem that the code is triggered more frequently when I have my exhaust open, so perhaps less back pressure is improving the intake side flow resulting in more codes. (I have a Y pipe in front of my muffler and can uncap my exhaust for car shows or if I ever get to take it to the track).

Yesterday when I drove it about 7 miles, I got the code 4 times. Coming home, I got it another 3 times. Then, when I closed the system before going out for the evening, it only triggered once all night.

If I can convince my dealer to update the computer, is it the same program that was modified when my car was tuned? For the record, when I started having the code, I immediately took it back and had the computer restored to normal and still had the problem. I understand that the current fix is an update and will improve the range of the variances so there is more tolerance. I just dont want to loose the tune. I actually asked the shop if they could extend the range in the tune and they couldnt.

Hello, I found out through my brother-inlaw that if you use too much of the oil spray on the air cleaner the computer goes nuts! Did a reclean with less oil and the problem was gone.

Your brother-in-law is correct that too much oil can damage the sensor. But in my case, I never cleaned or reoiled it-I used it straight out of the box brand new. A few weeks ago, I went as far as to buy another brand new filter-AEM-that is used dry. Then I removed and cleaned my MAF with special spray that I bought. Still codes. I was told that my MAF may have been permanently damaged and I should try buying a new one. I already did that with a MAP sensor, and nearly a hundred bucks later the problem was not solved. So now I want to borrow a MAF from a friend and see if the codes stop before spending the money to buy a new one.

Still, if the problem is the range is too narrow and the codes are from too little pressure, it will not stop the codes.
