Even though the pipe bends are a total trip... I love the side-exit exhaust and the fact that you went with an old school glasspack... Just curious, do ya think that will still pass the St. Louis emissions exam in a few years?

I use to run around Bridgeton with a set of those on my old Plymouth and would rattle glass all over town... I bet yours sounds great!!!

I gotta see this and hear this in person... I might have to meet you up at Vago Park sometime up the street and see this myself...

Anytime! I'm gonna be in Bridgeton, right where you keep seeing me and Bonnie, Friday afternoon.

I was thinking about the emissions thing but by then the centers will be shut down and I can have the shop that did the install do the inspection!

Until you get the smooth bumper... here's an idea...

Cut out the other side to match and hook up a couple fat chrome tailpipe extentions so it looks like duals from the rear with a loud surprise out each side.

BTW, is your HHR your daily driver?

We'll probably use the chrome OEM tip from mine to work something out for Bonnie's!

Yup, I drive it everywhere I go!

Yes, to a Walker slant-cut dual-pipe tip.

UPDATE

The Thrush glass pack is just too loud inside the cabin for me, even with wrapping the muffler and pipes. Gonna be switching it out this week.

This bites. (I would rather not begin a discussion here about back pressure, dynos or anything else, this is just my impressions of how MY car is performing.) I have been getting at least a 2 mpg increase plus it seems to be performing better overall. I'm just hoping that the next, for those who are counting this will make 4 counting the OEM, one performs as well.

Then I want the smooth front bumper, then the hood (unless someone else has come out with another hood that's more than a cowl fiberglassed on). Then comes the rear disc brakes and the supercharger, oh yeah I also want to chop it 3-4 inches. Then some custom work on the headrests (that will probably move up on the list though!).

I think that might do it for a while.

OOPS, I forgot the DVD/gaming system! Plus the auto pilot. Hey after all this, it better be able to drive itself!
Speaking of a honey-do list, this sounds like a Honey If I am good can I do this??

Hey Mike... Just tell them the extra welds add the needed backpressure back in!!! HAHAHA

BTW.... I hope you don't get caught, but drop a plumb line from the back edge of your back window where it opens. Looks like your tip is just in front of that. Technically illegal, but I've got dumps on my wagon in the same spot. I've got one more inspection to go. If I have to, I'll just park it for 7 months until the requirement goes away and register it again. :) F-them.

I really need to catch up with you sometime and see what you've done to it.

LOL!!

Yeah I've bee thinking about the next emissions test, by then the test will be back in the hands of shops not those damn centers. I guess I'll have to have the shop that did the install do the inspection!!

Got a ticket the other night in St. Ann for excessive noise! tint on the front at the same time. A little after midnight and a bored cop are not good conditions to loud and proud!

It'd be cool to hook up and trade lies/stories!!
