Fog lights question

How much trouble is it to install fog lights if they don't come factory?

I like the looks of them but most of the ones I see don't have them so thinking that will be my first mod.

I don't think its too hard. ebay some HHR foglights, that come WITH a switch, and then hook them up, wire them, etc.

Looking at some videos looks like it is a bit harder then just plug and play. I will have to make sure I get the kit adjust screw.

I just did this a few weeks ago. Went with Depo lights that are a direct fit to the OEM holes. If you've done automotive electrical work before it's not very difficult.

Check out this links below. The first one will give you a rough idea of the overall installation. Don't wire the switch the way he did though, use a relay. The second link talks about relays and has two diagrams showing how they are wired.

Good luck if you decide to go for it!

I did it on my HHR. Got fogs from local salvage yard, hooked them up to Daytime Running lights with a relay...no switch needed, they are on whenever the low beams are.
