Boy do I feel dumb. Just checked, and the rubber gasket was still stuck on the housing. Now the bulb twists easily on.

I'm pretty sure they are Whiter but not Brighter! If you are looking for a Bulb that is "User Friendly" you can't go wrong with the PIAA's! Although in some cases they cost Double I have probably installed 8 pairs over the years and have "NEVER" had them burn out quickly and or fail! Just seems to be a better quality controlled product! Although some really like the HID's I prefer something that is more simple to install with instant results! Wether it's true or an old wise tail, I have heard in some instances the HID's burn hotter and can melt the Head Light Housing?
