those bulletins are bandaids not fixes people need to push the process

It seems like most of the folks with this problem are up north. Is it really sandblasting or is it salt?

I just bought an 07 w/o running boards and I'm wondering if I will experience this problem...

I like the look of it without the boards, but I like the look of some that I've seen with pipes. Do the pipes help at all with the sandblasting??

 

Nope, it's not salt. It's actually surface pitting of the paint.

I have a very small amount of it at the bottom of my rear doors. The rear fender protector did it's job for the rest of the back end.
