I'm going to say the stud is the same material as the grill as it is welded to it. The stud size looks to be 8-32", inside measurement of threaded hole is .140". There was an extra wing nut in the package for me to measure. Can't determine what the thread material is because the wing nut, which is plastic, is molded around it.
