The back comes off and you can use it to mount small gauges or switches.

I put the amp here. I will drill holes in the top plastic piece for ventillation when I get a chance.

This is sub box-kind of big, but I can always unplug it. The stock sub still works (in its quiet sort of way)

The bass is incredible with the 10 inch Auro sub in the Q-Logic box and the Carver M-240 amp. I still can't believe how good (and loud) the system is, even using the Pioneer amp the car came with (premium package). I did replace the 4 speakers with my Rockford Fosgates, keeping the stock tweeters.
