I totally agree with you on the lubrication, and the ceramic pads. The main point that I'm trying to express is that proper break-in is absolutely essential with semi-metallic brake pads. And the owner's manual tells you how to do it. If only more people would read it, it really has some worthwhile information in it.

Proper break in is important, very few people do it. Many problems that arise can relate to improper break in vs warped rotors, etc. This gives you some sense about the theory. Lots of ideas, just like how to break in a new engine. Personally I've had better results doing it, your mileage and beliefs may vary.
