Brake upgrade to SS brakes ....
Ira
I can't assure you that it will stop faster for one stop, but the pedal pressure to engage the ABS dropped to a point that playing with finding the point of lockup is easy. The pedal pressure wet down considerably and my satisfaction with the brakes went up considerably. As I've said before, if I ever acquire another HHR, SS or not, I would do the upgrade even if it required new wheels and tires.

A big difference, and much longer life as well. My fronts needed pads every 22k miles, Brembos look like new at 25k
Do you do a lot of spirited driving and city driving thru those miles?
if you are in need of a complete set of calipers from an SS hit me up, i just bought a set of Brembo's I will be swapping out. I have a complete set front and back calipers if you have any interest.....
Still undecided between Brembo or non Brembo. Either way I prefer to use new parts. But thanks for the offer Paperboy72.
Paperboy72 how many miles have you typically gotten from your front pads?
Solman you were still using the LS/LT pads correct?

I followed Solman98's thread and purchased used SS caliper brackets and calipers from LT1GMC when he upgraded his SS to Brembo's , I am very happy with the upgrade to my LS ! Now flip a coin and order up either set up as you have the room with 20's and get that satisfied feeling and start wondering why didn't I do this along time ago!
You will not regret it!!

LT1 up above stated his non Brembo's only lasting 22k miles repeatedly. So I would like to know from you and others what yours have lasted. Especially you and solman if you were still using the LS/LT pads vs the non Brembo SS pads.
