C6 vorvette brakes on hhr???
#2
Wow, I think it would take more than a fair bit of work. I'm not sure that you could get around the differences in hubs both front and rear, the different bolt circles, fabricating rear caliper mounts, and many other hurdles. It could probably be done, but why? I'd gather all the bits necessary to use HHR SS brakes before attempting the Corvette conversion.

Hadn't heard about the Brembo issue, didn't mean to come down as so negative last night. I've been down the converting a Corvair to disks route and remember the "fun" involved. Not to say that 'Vette brakes are an absolute never gonna happen, but the platforms are so different. If you make it work I think it'll be a first, and I'm sure everybody here will be interested.

Check out the Viper brake upgrade in my thread. We decided on the Vipers over the Vettes because of the thickness of the hat on the rotor and how far out it moved the wheel out. The Vipers fit perfectly in that respect. We just had to redrill the rotors to the right bolt pattern.
In our next version we will use Vette calipers though.
