? on coilovers
Interesting! I'll keep that in the back burner in the event that I grab a set. Thanks!
I'm still running on the stock SS FE5 struts with a TTR rear swaybar. Never needed to cut the bumpstops, the ride is superb, and the drop is about 1 1/2" all around. Check out the pics in my gallery and the thread I made w/ before and after pics in the picture post section. It's titled: My Hearse on Pedders.
Agreed Moon! 14" > no snow and since it's my DD it's a concern for me. I've had 0 regrets and I've had the Pedders on now for 3 weeks and roughly 1200 miles. I drove through the Cross Bronx Expy last Sunday on the way to the track and the suspension behaved ADMIRABLY over those horrid roads. I was very impressed to say the least. I highly recommend Pedders springs. On the way home I even out cornered a few cars on a circular offramp doing 65-70; the SS was flat as hell on the corner.

Which ss cobalt struts /shocks did you get sc or tc? and how low does it sit? I just brought my '07 LT2 from the dealership for struts replacement and the rears are leaking but they are not covered under my ext. warranty. So I want to replace the rear shocks and springs with the ss cobalt but not sure between SC or TC and depending how it looks then I will decide what to do with the front struts/springs. I have the 17" chrome wheels with 205/50/17.
I'm from Hayward[Cali] 15 miles from Oakland, and I can tell you how much snow Phos sees in winter. How bout none. Snow? whats that?
Thought about Pedders Coilovers myself, but went with stock FE5 struts, and Pedders springs, along with OTTPerformance "Hardcore" rear bar, and trust me this works, and real good. Kinda think now coilovers would be overkill, after doing a couple of runs on the Autocross course.
Unless you're gonna do some real harcore racing, the above setup will work just as good, for ocassional playtime. "Moon"
