yeah they are only seeing the pressure put on them by the shock. there are the forward 4 link bars that hold the weight of the car. one thing im not sure of is the factory shock holding up. when you hit a bump the force will be multiplied because of the arm set up but the bearing itself doesnt seemuch of it. it transfers the energy by rotating instead of just being pushed. also the bearings are sealed so they should hold up pretty well in rain if i keep the greased
Are you saying that because they are cast? i know they werent designed for more than just shaft support but ill just have to watch them and see, but i think they will be ok

When are you expecting this thing to be done? I'd love to see the finished product.

Be careful with the grease, the seal are easy to blow out on those then water gets in. I deal with these bearings everyday. I am going to talk to some one a little more up on these but Im still nervous about using these for suspension. They are not made for the loads that you will be putting on them and the housings will shatter. Im not trying to be a smartass, just concerned about your safety.

Oh and also, the is no rubber or poly anywhere in these so you will hear every bump in the road loud and clear.

ill just have to see how it works. even if it does break the shock isnt going anywher. and the wheel isnt gonna fall off or anything so im not to worried. if sound and vibration mattered i would be doing this to something with the body isolated from the frame. one of the many drawbacks of a unibody is noise
