Rear hub attachment torque
#11
I replace one rear hub yesterday, pretty easy, remove the 2 caliper bracket bolts, lit it up and slide off the disk. Then you'll need a deep socket to remove the 4 nuts holding on the hub. As soon as it starts to come off, unplug the ABS connector. The only tricky part was I had to loosen 3 of the nuts before I could do the fourth one or the socket gets trapped between the stud and the spring.
Also, the nuts seem to be self locking but not on the new piece so I used blue loctite but probably new nuts would be the proper answer.
Does anyone know the torque spec for the bolts that attach the caliper mounting bracket to the axle?
