You probably got a harness for a 2.4L. Yours (n the pictures) is a 2.2L.
I see signs of ignorant mechanical work, not vandalism.

Maybe I was looking at wrong wiring diagram for 06 Hhr , please post it for me and point out where cam and crank sensors are on the 2.2 then look at photos I posted and outline or put some arrows on the missing sensors in the photos

NO cam or crank sensor on 2006 2.2L. The ICM takes care of that..
As was stated earlier the cars you have do not have interchangeable electronics.

I just don't understand the hostility or are you reading so much more than I'm putting to paper ?

You seem determined I just don't understand your objective

To date I have used 1 plug , a store bought plug would have been different but like the plug I used would have worked

Can we start fresh , seems this link is not for engine that is why I put it in the place it was moved from?

Too much information and opinions formed on what you make up between the lines?

I tried to start fresh in correct place with accurate description seems I've been tossed back on the short bus with the tinted windows

Is there a crank sensor on this engine?

The last thing I looked at clearly said 06 HHR 2.2 and showed 2 sensor locations and it came from this site ?

HULK just want make nice

this is amazing

"Signs of ignorant mechanical work"

Please elaborate

I have tried to make my vandalism problems as clear as I legally can without pointing fingers or getting into ongoing litigation, would you feel more at ease with my attorneattorney's phone number, maybe he will fill you in on things I can't get into

Please point out the ignorance in mechanical work, what are the signs, your putting me back in school. Don't mind riding the short bus as long as I'm learning something I can put into useful action

I did point out wires crushed a result of tampering, had them tied up, should have taken a photo to remove all doubt

Dose engine crank sensor work with speed sensor? Or is the speed sensor the closest thing to a crank sensor? Bet if that where the case crossed wires would make a difference

Crankshaft position sensor is above the starter near the oil pressure sensor.

Ignorant mechanical work ; like tie wraps all over the place instead of using the correct bolts, dirt everywhere etc. Maybe, inept would be a better word.
The 2006 2.2L engine uses a "wasted spark" ignition system. The cam positions are calculated by the ICM with data from the spark plugs. The plugs have different electrical resistances when they spark on a non burning cylinder. Thus, no cam sensors.

The 2006 2.2L engine is different from any other engine used in any other year HHR. 2007-2008 2.2L are similar but different. 2009-2011 2.2L are VVT and FlexFuel. All years 2.4L are similar to each other. 2.0L is something like the 2.4L.

I don't understand what you are perceiving as hostility. I don't bother trying to read minds from thousands of miles away. I still don't know exactly which plug you are having trouble with or exactly what car you are dealing with. Why would I care about vandalism on your property? I just don't know why anyone would bother opening a hood and move wires around, I would not find that fun.

If you will cite exactly what year, engine and plug you mean I can post a pinout with color code.

#5 in red circle is the crankshaft sensor
