Instant MPG?

First off, the search feature is giving me a hard time trying to search for this, so if anyone knows if this has been discussed before, sorry...

So the new HHR's come with an instant MPG right? Is it at all possible to add that to an older HHR?

I know...stupid question, right?

Can't be added through GM.

Ah, ok...thanks!

I know I've seen things you can buy that will show you, but they run about $200.... For that price I'll just keep resetting my average!

Even adding it to yours would cost at least that 200 I would get a scan gauge II or try ebay they pop up every now on there. I thought about buying one since it can do so much might use my dads on one of my trips to compare it to the cars.

Yeah, I had looked into a ScanGaugeII when I was driving my other car, but decided against it because of the price. It's not really worth that much to me. Maybe if they come down in price a little bit...or like you said, if I can find a good deal on eBay.

You could try to find an orignal scan gauge there a little bigger but same basic features I believe and should be cheaper as well if you can find one.

I have a scangaugeII and I bought an extra cable and move it from car to car. It it also a code reader and can reset codes. You should be able to buy one for about $160 and the extra cable is $20.
