Cabin air filter...
Whoops, they are not all white. I replaced my wifes' Sentra cabin filter with a carbon impregnated filter which was almost black on one side and wondered what another mechanic would think if he pulled it...
GM ALSO supplies a plain white and a charcoal impregnated filter for the HHR's. Guess which one is commonly used.....hint.....the cheaper one is plain white.
The original OEM that came with the car, when new, was charcoal type but I replaced it with the Fram "top of the line" because I found them on clearance and bought the only 2. It supposedly is baking soda treated to provide a fresher smell. It also is rigidly constructed as compared to the OEM.
