I've noticed that my windshield is starting to pit. My question is this....is it limited to the HHR or is it throughout all of the GM lines? BTW - I am lucky x2. Hit twice by something flying...small stones, whatever. Chipped the paint on the hood, but never cracked the windshield.

The HHR's are probably pitting because of the supplier used. Can't say if they are also used for other GM vehicles. Look at the bottom passenger side, of the windshield, for the manufacturer......guess where?

But, really that is GM's fault for not setting the spec.'s higher, and accepting the lowest bidder, without requiring more frequent engineering/production samples.

I have "abrasions" on my windshield also.....3400 miles.....garage parked.
