DRL- Daylight Running lights change on 07 ?

I like the turn indicators as the DRLs. That's how I tell HHRs from PT Cruisers on the interstate. Also, since the law in Florida states you must lights on in the rain, I never have to remember to turn them on.
Dimming the headlights to become DRLs just adds one more thing that could go wrong. Besides, the orange lights are much more visible from a distance.
