I hope you don't regret that decision but my guess is you will.

It was fresh water so if nothing else I have a good body. LKQ gets them all the time. Most running. $500 cash running. $300 not running.

Where are you in Florida, I’ve seen that HHR last July while in Florida on vacation, the rear 1/4 panels are primer black. We stayed in Cape Coral

Holy cow, fresh water changes everything. I assumed it got soaked in seawater, one of the most corrosive substances known to man.

Was it mud, or muddy water, or relatively clear water?

Regardless, hopefully the battery was removed asap to stop galvanic corrosion until everything's fully dried out.

Old blue, it was actually a bad repair for my Chevrolet dealership on the two quarters because the paint started bubbling a year after I bought the car. I'm in Daytona Beach but I travel all over Florida sometimes for work. And as the other gentleman had asked about the water. I really don't know the water that I pumped out of the car was completely clear but it was Florida blackwater that got to the car. I always wanted an SS but never could afford one. I love these cars or I wouldn't have had two.
