I was hoping they would come out with a redesign on the Chevy Cruze platform.

It's too bad, I wish they could've come out with a new model, but it's a done deal. That's not going to happen. A shame too, I probably would've bought the new model too if there was one. I do believe I heard there was going to be a Cruze hatchback/wagon, although I don't think it's really a "replacement" for the HHR. If you think about it, a lot of vehicles don't necessarily get replacements. What is the replacement for the PT Cruiser? There isn't one.

Well that's because the PT Cruiser and HHR are niche vehicles. Sort of like what the Solstice/Sky would have become most likely.

I guess on May 20th, we need to hug our HHR and treat to some 93 octane, since it will no longer be built.

On May 20th, and party with some tequila with the workers that build it.

Isn't the plant where they build the HHRs just over the border from Laredo, TX?

Will they have a special edition, being that it is the last?

No special edition, no fanfare, just chugging off into the sunset. As with every GM plant the security at Ramos Arizpe is tight and they actively discourage visitors, so next month just raise a glass to the HHR wherever you are...The HHR is dead, long live the HHR.

No, I don't think so. In fact, most of the 2011 HHRs are more trimmed down as far as options, equipment, colors, etc. as compared to the 2006-2010 models. There is no SS for 2011, there is no LT Panels, there is no black, there is no half panels.

By the way, I just noticed that you're from Racine, WI. I'm originally from Green Bay, WI and I live in Superior, WI.
