I have a sunroof myself in my 2LT and the Rental LS had (Sept 05 in Fort Lauderdale) did not and there was more headroom without. That is correct

I'm 6'3" and had plenty of headroom in the ones I drove while trying out HHR's. For me the sunroof was a must when I ordered.

At 6'4", there is still ample room. And the sunroof was also a must!

At 6'6", my head would just barely rub the headliner from time to time in the models with the sunroof. Wouldn't be enough to be bothersome. But I ended up without the sunroof anyway. There is 3-4 inches between the top of my balding head and the roof in mine without the sunroof.

Well I did two things awhile ago to my interior.
1) Wrap a dollar bill around the shifter
2) JL Mini HHR

Hi All, new member to this site!

I wasnt happy with the feel of the standard seat Fabric either. But i didnt want to add 750-$1000 for leather. My compromise: Spent $200 for genuine sheepskin covers for front two seats. Love em.

You know, when I was reading all the reviews before I ordered mine, one of the reviewers said he was 5'10" and had no headroom with the sunroof. I think he even said his head touched the headliner. I almost didn't even drive one with a sunroof because I figured it might be too tight. After driving one with a sunroof I decided 1) I had to have one 2) He had not even driven the vehicle himself or 3) He had a head like Herman Munster. I would bet on a combination of 2 & 3 in reality.

Perhaps he was not aware that the seat goes up and down. I am 5' 10" and with the seat raised to the top, my head (which is normal sizes, I hope) hits my sunroof. Plus, the visors and low windshield block looking out of the windshield.

But I do keep the seat as far back as it will go (maybe because I am used to driving sports cars). I like my legs and arms to have room and I don't like being cramped by the steering wheel.

I rather it be a little plain, than something that is tacky or overdone. I liken it to a nice canvas to paint on, rather than a piece of paper and a bic! It's easier that way to add what mods you want. I have no problem with the interior. I noticed a problem with the head room though when I finally was able to pick it up from the lot. I ordered mine, and test drove many with no problem with the head room with or w/o the sunroof. I am 6'0", but when my black 2LT showed up and I finally had the keys and opened the door, my head could barely fit in...I guess owning this treasure gives some of us a "Big Head"....D'OH!
