Well lets hope the Cobalt picks up the slack successfully. I really believe the HHR will be a flash in the pan like the PT and the SSR. The HHR appeals to a small segment of buyers and the polarizing love it/hate does not bode well for a long run,

I did not even know the car existed before I stumbled on it at a Dodge dealer last month.

The PT cruiser is entering its 7 year of sales and outsells every car that Chrysler makes save the 300. The SSR would have to had a sales success in the beginning (which it didn't ) to be considered a flash in the pan.

When I tell people I'm getting a Chevy HHR, most of them look at me blankly! "A what....?"

I had this concern as well but it was soon put to rest after a week of high humidity 90 plus degree days,
I'm with Kingfrog here--I bought my Blackie last Labor Day weekend when it was over 100F for almost a week here in SoCal. I had to keep the AC on low it worked so well and I had the sunroof open.

And I was one of those who pushed the August numbers up! Adopted my Blackie on 8.31.07!
