Insulation on the fuel and vapor line

what is the purpose of it on fuel and vapor line ? It’s near the drivers along rail ..

First what is " It’s near the drivers along rail " ? My first thought is vibration to protect the lines.

Yeah, that, mostly. Temperature stability. Insulation? Like my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang thermos way back in kindergarten. Your question is not really clear.

That thermos would be worth money today... sadly.

The exhaust system is right next to it there... I'm guessing it's to hinder heating of the lines.

It's also there to cause the lines to rust, but that's secondary.

My bad I meant to say it runs along drivers frame rail .. so it there to keep the fuel line heating up from the exhaust pipe .. thank you

Without knowing exactly where you're referencing, heat tends to make liquid fuel turn to vapor, almost always a big problem.

Also, heat makes vapor pressure increase.

I ordered DEI insulation tubes to replace the factory, stuff and one day I might install it.
